Epipactis phyllanthes G.E.Sm. Gard. Chron. (1852) 660. - basionym Epipactis helleborine (L.) Crantz subsp. phyllanthes (G.E.Sm.) H.Sund. Europ. Medit. Orchid. ed. 3: 41 (1980) - Syn.: Epipactis confusa D. P. Young, Epipactis persica auct. - Stem normally solitary, rather slender, 20-70 cm tall, almost glabrous. Inflorescence rather lax with pendulous, half open flowers. Rostellum missing or very small and not functional. Leaves without prominent weins on the upper surface. - Distributed in most of Denmark - in Jutland though only in the eastern parts. Protected in Denmark.
